Analysis Of A Rock Video 3

Cinematography:

This isn't your typical rock genre video or sound however it can be deemed as rock. This could be classed as modern day rock/pop. There are a lot of sharp shots and cut aways within the video. There are close ups, panning and also some tracking movement also.

Mise-En-Scene:

Although this is a rock song, it doesn't give off the typical rock vibe. Usually, rock videos would be dark, gloomy and dull. However, this is more of an upbeat video with many different things happening. Rock videos usually correspond of being on a stage or standing still and performing. In this video. we have the making of the video with the artists performing and other locations established within the video.Compared to my other two videos of rock i have posted they have many different contrasts. The colours being the most established. This compared to the other two are much more visible and brighter. This brings me back to the point of modern day rock

Editing:

The editing was good within this video. There was a lot of continuity throughout the video. They would bring it onto one shot and then cut it straight onto another which kept the flow of the video good and kept away viewer fatigue.

Sound:

Although this is classed as a rock song, you can say its more of a modern updated version. It is more youthful and cultured than a vintage rock song. This contains lots of movement a up tempo beat whereas an old vintage rock song/video would be more heavy base and focus on the lyrics more.
