Analysis of Pop Video 2

Cinematography:

This is another pop video that is good to analyse. In this video we always see a lot going on within the frame. Driving the car, skateboarding keep you interested. There are a lot of quick shots where Bruno Mars is singing and then it switches to Travie McCoy. A lot of angles are shown and these express some long shots to medium shots. Close ups express the passion of both singers as they lip sync which is good within the video.

Mise-En-Scene:

The location of the video is set around the beach therefore its bright, cheerful and vibrant. Overall this video relates to everyone as everyone would love to be a billionaire. Its very current and can get a viewer intrigued. The two screen grabs i took are both good examples of locations set.

Editing:

There was a lot of continuity editing within the video. for example, the screen grabs below show the artist handing over the skateboard however there was a little cut in between him handing it to him and then when the shot came back on the screen the person was holding the skateboard. This gives time for the music video to flow. Also, like all the other pop videos there were short sharp cuts and different angles to keep us intrigued.

Sound:

The sound corresponds well with the video. The song is very upbeat and vibrant which intertwine with the location being the beach and on the coast.
