Analysis of Pop Video 3

Cinematography:

The opening shot shows the artist Pitbull sitting on a luxury sofa with a woman. The room is empty therefore he stands out. Also, the colour red is very vibrant and elegant which contrasts to the dark background. The lighting behind the sofa also emphasises what the most important thing within the frame is. The shots within the video show different angles at all times. As we can see from the 2nd screen grab Pitbull is almost looking down on us. The shot is taken very low and makes him look important.

Mise-En-Scene:

This is another prime example of a current, youthful and vibrant pop song. The mise en scene is shot in a club and immediately there are short sharp shots of the singers and people dancing which deprives any viewer fatigue.Different angles of shots are produces. Some being aerial and low. Also, some shots fly back and forth as though it is showing one shot. This is very effective and keeps stuff flowing within the video. The artists in the video keep good lip syncing and play there characters well. The lighting is very dim as the location is a club. The lighting adds effects to it and overall gives the viewer a good vibe.
